Pardons for 2020 alternate electors and Trump allies

Stage 5 of 5: Outcome (Pardons issued) · Closed, settled, decided · Last development 11 Dec 2025

A proclamation signed around 7 November 2025 and announced by Pardon Attorney Ed Martin pardoned 77 people allegedly involved in the effort to set up alternate slates of electors after the 2020 election, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Sidney Powell and Boris Epshteyn. It covers all of Trump's co-defendants charged in Georgia. The pardon states it does not apply to the President.

A presidential pardon covers only federal offences, so it does not affect state charges such as those in Georgia. Four of those pardoned had pleaded guilty in the Georgia case.
